My name is Amber Stubblefield an African American female, born in Silver Spring MD, at Holy Cross Hospital and living in Montgomery County, Gaithersburg. I am eighteen years old and have one brother and two sisters. My mother is Nigerian and while dad is from Liberia. I started school at Southlake Elementary, then proceeded to Forest Oak Middle, and finally graduated from Gaithersburg High School in the year 2016. If you would like to know more about me, here are some things I would like to share. To begin with is my educational career goals, second, my interests and hobbies and third, my personal beliefs and values. Yes, I’m the first person in my family to attend college. I joined Montgomery College in the fall of 2016, majoring in general studies life sciences. However, my educational goal is to earn straight A’s and receive my two years associate degree from Montgomery College. I then intend to transfer with a 3.0 GPA average, to a four-year university course in the state of Maryland. From there I plan to major in pre-medical studying Biology, Chemistry and everything about Medical Science. Afterward, I plan to go to a medical school for my Masters and Ph.D. In the end, I would like to have a career as an Ob-gyn Doctor. I am very pleased to be a student at Montgomery College. One thing that I believe in is that the sky is the limit and I will not rest on my oars until I reach my career and educational goals. I am a workaholic and will also not rest until everything is done promptly and efficiently. I am also time conscious and do not condone tardiness. Ultimately, I am ambitious and have many interests towards my career. As I already said, I want to become a doctor accomplished in helping women and children around the world, saving lives, and supporting everyone in need. I many enjoy hobbies among them canning, knitting, and sewing. I like staying active through a variety of activities such as swimming and jogging. While in college I plan to join sports and society clubs, I want learn new things like how to be an artist, cook pastry, are make connections in the school.  Introducing and building a connection with someone weither it a friend, teacher, or just any random person you run it is so important because that person can hook you up with many good opportunity and lead you with great success. Then I want a chance to travel abroad and learn other language and try lots of new things in other country. Activity that I enjoy being a part of is participating in walks or hikes organized as fundraisers for health or environment programs. the events are hosted by the Red Cross Society of the school of which I am the Vice President. I care deeply about our environment and have always participated to the fullest extent of my abilities in all planned the activities. Sometimes, addition, I believe that for a person to thrive and be successful in life, he/she should have a good role model besides you, for example, a teacher, family members or a friend. During the first semester of college, I had a lot of stress and anger due to the many personal issues happening in my life. For one, my mother is a single mother of four children, and she has made the most positive impact on me thus far. My mother owns a moving company, and she taught me to be independent and to never settle for less. She does not make much from her business, but with the little she gets, she ensures that it is used to take care of us. She also gives me advice, for instances, she would say always value your Education, and I had always token her word seriously because every chanced I got I wanted to make her proud. My mother would stay home and helps all of us with our schoolwork, drop me to school every morning, and rescue me from anything harms that came my way.  I am extremely proud of her hard work and dedication.  My mother is my hero, and Her persistence has taught me to work towards success in everything I do, and I would not be where I am in today were not for my mother.Overall, I believe that anyone can achieve their dreams if they put their mind to it. To be honest, I’m very excited and proud of myself to be in college. It will take my commitment and discipline to accomplish my interests, education and career goals. I wish to get experiences and more positive things that will help me in my lifetime. For those reading my blog, I hope you are having a good time at Montgomery College, and I can’t wait to see you around campus.Amber Stubblefield
